22th February 2022

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Canoe Polo has divisions to cater for all levels of ability.

Canoe Polo HB is a 'vaccine pass' sport for any participant over the age of 12 years old.

E1 grade is for our more elite players, E2 is for our players that have had a season playing and have some of the fundamental skills and E3 grade is for our beginners that are learning the basic kayaking skills and the rules of the game.

The overview of dates for the games are listed below.  At this stage I cannot say what day your child will be playing as the 3 grades are over the 2 days in the weekend.

All games will be played at either Clive Pool or Flaxmere pool - sorry I can't give you a specific day and time until all teams are entered and CPHB produces a draw.

HAWKES BAY CANOE POLO CHAMPS 30TH & 31ST JULY (Players will be selected to compete in this)

Cost: The total cost for the season is $125.00.  This covers the cost of practices, equipment hire and weekly competition costs at the indoor pools

All fees are to be paid with your online registration. As sport is considered an extra-curricular activity, TIS has a ‘no pay, no play’ policy.

Coaching: Trainings will take place  at the Mitre 10 Sports Park in Hastings (outdoor facility).  Trainings, days and times will be confirmed once I know how many teams TIS will have.

COACHES/MANAGERS WANTED
Extra-curricular activities such as Canoe Polo needs parental help particularly for the games in the weekend.  Teams must have an adult with them when at the pool to supervise and help with getting into their kayaks.  If you can offer any help to manage a team this year, please indicate on the registration form.  A roster system will be organised to share the supervision if we have no volunteers.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Players and parents of all TIS sports will be asked to agree to our 2022 sports code of conduct. Please read and discuss with your child and your extended family.  As proud parents and New Zealanders we love our sports and are keen for our students to do the best they can.
