Last term, on the Friday 15th April, Taradale Intermediate School had their first awards assembly for 2016. We celebrated learners getting their merit and excellence badges, honors and even getting their support leader badge! To get their merit badges, learners has to have 10 points for service and 15 points for sport,  academic and culture/art. For excellence badges, learners has to get 15 points for service and 18 points for sports, academic and culture/art.  If learners want to go above and beyond, they can even get their honors! You will need to get 100 points over all and you'll need all of the merit badges, service, sport, academic and culture. One lucky learner was able to get their support leader badge! She was very determined to get her support leader/leader badge last year but she ended up not getting it. But she persevered and even she wasn’t a leader, she still showed great leadership and that is why she got her support leader badge.
