Your child has indicated an interest in playing Super League Volleyball for TIS in term 4. Super League is for students that have played some Volleyball before. Please read all details carefully and complete the online registration and payment BY MONDAY 19th September (Registrations will be live on Wednesday 14th September).
Super League Volleyball
Venue: Pettigrew Green Arena (PGA)
Cost: $45 per player
Dates: Mondays 31st October to Monday 5th December
Uniform: PE Uniform (Sneakers are optional)
Coaching Session: Monday 17th October 4.00 to 5.30pm (Skills practice run by VBHB)
COACHES/MANAGERS WANTED Extra curricular activities such as Volleyball needs parental help. Teams must have an adult with them courtside at PGA. If you can offer any help to manage a team this year, please indicate on the registration form. A roster system can be organised to share the supervision.
A practice slot in the hall or on the outside net can be booked in for parents wanting to run team practices. I will contact you if you have indicated this on your registration form.
CODE OF CONDUCT Players and parents of all TIS sports will be asked to agree to our 2022 sports code of conduct. Please read and discuss with your child and your extended family. As proud parents and New Zealanders we love our sports and are keen for our students to do the best they can. To view the Code of conduct, click here.
In addition to our school’s code of conduct, PGA management and Volleyball HB are enforcing rules that must be adhered to, please see below. By agreeing to the conditions on the registration form you are agreeing to the PGA rules below:
Please note for safety reasons there are changes to the way Volleyball competitions are to be held at Pettigrew Green Arena:
Players are not to loiter in foyer, stair wells, car parks or toilet/change facilities. When not involved in play or duty all players and spectators are to be upstairs.
No one is to enter PGA Courts until their game is scheduled to be played.
Only players, coaches and managers are allowed into the PGA courts.
No music players.
There will be a 5min changeover in court times. Please make your way to your courts and be ready to start on time. As soon as your games are finished please make your way out of the court area for the next game to commence.
Balls may only be used on the courts when you have a scheduled match.
No balls to be played with in the PGA foyer, on the side of the courts while games are in play.
Please DONOT take the balls off the allocated courts as they are needed for the following games.
FEES All fees are to be paid with your online registration. As sport is considered an extra-curricular activity, TIS has a ‘no pay, no play’ policy.
