The RTLB Service is part of the Ministry of Education Special Education 2000 policy and works in accordance with ‘Resource Teachers Learning & Behaviour (RTLB): Policy & Toolkit: (Ministry of Education, 2007’
It provides support for Year 1 – 10 students within the school/class learning environments. All Resource Teachers: Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) are New Zealand registered teachers.
The Taradale Cluster of 4 RTLB is based at Taradale Intermediate School and provides service for students in 14 schools.
The RTLB in the Taradale Cluster:
•Are accountable to the Principal of Taradale Intermediate School.
•Work collaboratively with staff and/or students.
•Liaise with students’ families/whanau and other agencies
